A Message to Class 5-206
Good afternoon to my 5-206 family!
I hope this note finds everyone well and comfortable at home. I am just reaching out and asking that you give your child a virtual hug from me. Remind them of one of my favorite Mr. Roger's quotes, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers, you will always find people who are helping.'"
Just as you are waiting, so I am, as we prepare for this remote learning phase next week. In the interim jump online and check out all of the positivity going on in the world... from Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems,
https://www.facebook.com/events/2544781839094130/ to all of the amazing companies offering free activities and subscriptions due to school closings like www.scholastic.com/learnathome.
I have attached a file here of just some of the many offerings complied by [email protected].
Most importantly, let's remain calm and patient. Explain to your kids what is going on and alleviate their fears by explaining that school is closed as a precautionary measure. Look for the helpers! We are 221 strong and will do this together.
Best regards,
Mrs. Clarke
